Kevin Ryan MA (Hons), DA, MAIBC, LEED AP
Architect / Principal

Graduate with an Honours Masters degree and Diploma of Architecture with distinction from Edinburgh University 1978, and 1979. Employed with Eric Lyons Architects in London England 1979 -1980. Private practice in British Columbia since 1980, leading to the formation of Coast Architectural Group in 1984.

Kevin adheres to a belief that all the resources of the site and building process are to be valued in a sustainable manner with the building occupants sheltered in a healthy and inspirational environment. This design philosophy leads to unique, exciting and responsive design solutions.

Particular expertise includes functional programming, project feasibility analysis and design, with an objective to achieve the optimum value from each site and project. His ability to negotiate effectively with the various agencies and communicate with the client expedites a successful project delivery.

David Eaton B.A., B.Arch, MAIBC
Architect / Principal

David received a B.A. Urban Geography and Climatology in 1974, and Bachelor of Architecture in 1979, from the University of British Columbia. After articling for two Lower Mainland architectural firms, he began private practice in 1982 by opening a small office in the Kerrisdale area of Vancouver.

Since joining Coast Architectural Group in 1984, David contributed to the partnership designing custom single-family homes, hospitality, and commercial projects in the 1980’s. In the next two decades he expanded his practice by designing several prestigious custom homes, condominiums, commercial buildings, pubs and restaurants, mixed-use buildings, banks, and recreational buildings - winning several awards in the process.

David’s strengths and experience lie in following a project from concept to reality, coordinating every detail from landscape, to building design, to interior design. He prides himself in being a good listener and remaining responsive to the client’s needs for quality, economical construction costs, and efficient product delivery, while respecting the challenge of balancing these with the requirements of the authorities and community needs. His passion is working with a team of dedicated professionals to produce a product that works with everyone at every level, being responsible and responsive at the same
time.
