Coast Architectural Group - Practice

Coast Architectural Group, with offices in Vancouver (1984), Kelowna (2004) and its main office in Kamloops (2000), has a total staff of fifteen and is engaged in a number of high profile resort, condominium and lifestyle community projects. Thirty years of experience with market focused developments, environmentally sensitive principles, and market trends has led to an intuitive understanding and balance between site, market and product. Each office is well conversant with their particular region's approval agencies, local building trades, consultants, markets and development community.

The firm is committed to the principles of more environmentally responsible design, from its involvement with alternate energy technologies and eco housing in the mid-1970s to a continued interest and inclusion of green principles in project design today. Kevin Ryan is a LEED accredited professional and the firm encourages as a minimum the implementation of the ‘Built Green’ environmental assessment program on residential projects. Currently the office is designing one Leed Silver and four Built Green multi-family projects, and while many other projects may not fit into a specific program they adhere to environmental sensitivities and objectives.

Our projects constitute a successful portfolio of resort, hospitality and lifestyle development projects, illustrating our firm’s understanding of market trends and design, value and cost, the importance of environmental context between building and site, and our reputation for creative and inventive solutions.

By combining the architecture of the familiar with an architecture that embodies the dynamics inherent in the site’s sense of place, a significant, exciting and vibrant experience can be crafted.
